Reasonable belief has a very specific definition in US law: belief that any reasonable person, under the same circumstances, assuming the same knowledge, and without the benefit of hindsight, would hold. It primarily applies to actions by law enforcement officers to preclude Monday morning quarterbacking. There is nothing vague about it.

Define "any reasonable person"...

Using the word "reasonable" in a definition to try and define reasonable belief is not exactly giving a clear, concise explanation. I'd say it is actually rather vague.

It just makes me feel so happy to see the US fail when it tries to reach outside of its own borders and impose.....

I take it that this means any and all evidence found in Dotcom's home is now inadmissable, and all confiscated items removed must be returned to him?

I'm really glad that NZ didn't roll over on this one; no-one should be above the law, especially not those tasked with enforcing it.

That is not something they can do...

yes it is

See NDAA 2012 section 1031

also the NDAA is very vague; while the PATRIOT Act specifically says "terrorism" the NDAA states "belligerent actions" or something similar
