As the title states, I'm having issues with one of my three Acer S231HL monitors that I run in a Surround setup off of my sig rig.
Up until about a month ago, all three monitors had been working together in surround flawlessly. Then, suddenly!, one of the three monitors would no longer display its full resolution and will only be identified by windows (and Nvidia) as a "Generic Non-PNP" monitor at 1048x762 resolution. After tons of tests and miscellaneous diagnostics (uninstalled drivers, updated firmware, etc, etc) I gave up and sent the monitor into Acer for repairs. I got the monitor back a few days ago. They claimed it was fine, but it still has the same issue. I've tested it on multiple other computers and can't get it to work on any of them. Any clue what to do? Acer refused to replace it, even after hearing this news. I'm extremely frustrated, and obviously don't want to replace a very expensive monitor.
Eventually, I think I'm going to reinstall windows on my main rig, and see if that resolves it. But I have little hope. Any suggestions guys, I'm losing my head over this one...
Thanks,
-GA
