I need 10m cables

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
I will be moving my computer to the opposite side of the room to make some space and to quieten down the computer.
So I will be needing about 10m cables for:
  • Mouse USB
  • keyboard USB
  • Printer USB
  • DVI cable for monitor
  • Audio cable
  • an extra USB for charging devices

Any suggestions for these cables? Use these websites to search for the prdocuts: www.alza.sk and www.heureka.sk

Thanks in advance

A.T.

This is true, for this reason, you'll need to use a powered (ie. wall wart transformer powered) usb hub. They are cheap, no worries. You might at least try it without the hub first and see how it does, though.

whats wrong with wireless systems? you can at least get a wireless mouse, keys, printer, and audio

My computer is far from my desk, and the only wire I have connecting the two is the monitor cable.

( but do note you need either HDMI or DVI, VGA cables can develop tons of interference over long distances )

heck, you can even have your computer turn on via keyboard if you set it up properly.

Yup I use ps2 for my keyboard and use ctrl + esc to power on. doesn't work over USB for me.

It is because of the latency. The signals take too long so the USB controller assumes the device is no longer communicating.

Yes, it won't work over USB, but you can still set most computers up to turn on and off at certain times.

But how will I get a long distance cable for the monitor?

Right now I am using a basic Microsoft Mouse and keyboard. Any suggestions for something that is similar to this?
