What pad to use on a steelseries sensei? - Page 2

I recently bought some 'Puretrak Perfectglide HD' mouse feet for my Sensei. On fitting them I was super careful to clean surfaces and line everything up.

On my Steelseries 9HD the Puretrak feet were very scratchy - to the point where they bugged me 100%. In honesty the new mouse feet weren't anywhere near as good as the original feet I'd taken off and thrown in the trash mad.gif I'd score them 0/10 - a complete waste of money for me.

I went back to using my old G5 Logitech and bought two items off ebay for the Sensei - some teflon mouse feet tape and also some Corepad mouse feet. I've applied the ptfe mouse feet tape and it works like a charm...super smooth gliding across the 9HD....am still waiting for the Corepad's to arrive but I can't image them being any better than the mouse feet tape.

Anyway I'm being totally honest and can't understand why the Puretrak feet are called 'Perfectglide' because they don't glide at all for me. Very very scratchy and super annoying...

lol cuz you buy a specialty product without understanding how they work. they take time to break in. they are scratchy out of the box but understand that they don't stay this way. it's a downside for having them be so thick. if you'd allow them to break in, you'd understand they're actually very good and very fast

that guy pretty much explained it

the HD skates are made to last the life of a mouse. i've had my first set on for a year now and they're still at 90% life. they're well broken in and the glide on them compared to my 3.0 with hyperglides is exactly the same. difference? i dont have to replace the HD's everything 6 months like I did with hyperglides.

biggrin.gif That's the funny thing...Puretrak don't tell you on the packet they're scratchy as heck. I wonder why they call them 'perfectglide' as they aren't. I ain't wearing out a £25 mouse mat because a company can't make a product as unbelievably simple as teflon mouse feet, work out of the box. You're very tolerant of a massively inferior product - lol.

I've found that almost all new skatez can be very rough. The thing I do is I take the mouse and move it around on my old ultimat (smooth aluminium pad) and ad a good amount of pressure. After a minute or so, the skatez have felt smooth smile.gif

I had Xai once, wich is pretty much a sensei. And I used it on a 9HD without any issues, but that was before I got into the whole acceleration thing smile.gif
