[Various] nVidia GeForce GTX 660Ti reviews - Page 3

Thanks for adding Overclockers' reviews TheBlademaster01! I'm subscribed if anyone has any questions on the EVGA card or 660 Ti in general. I didn't write the MSI review but if there are any questions I don't know the answer to, I can get them. thumb.gif

It makes me think it might just be better to bite the bullet and cough up the extra cash for a gtx 670 or go with an radeon. The final verdict will be reviled wen we see the retail prices.

Go for a 7970 If you are in the eu/uk same price as a 670. I had the 670 in my basket and 7970, took me ages to decide but went for the 670 because I came from a 6970 and wanted to try something different.

It is an amazing card the 670 but the vram is a real problem for me. I am constantly at the full 2gb in skyrim causing stuttering and drops at times.
Also a few other games are easily pushing 1.8gb vram.

No idea what possessed nvidia to stick 2gb on this gen >_> They have amazing gpu power but starved for vram imo.
Not so much of a problem atm since only skyrim is reaching the max for me but this doesn't give me hopes for this card lasting since I like to keep card for a few years.

Sorry offtopic just trying to give some personal advice.
Anyways the 660ti is impressive for a mid ranger, very impressive actaully.
I am not seeing much of a difference with this gens cards, like they are all within 5 fps of each other.
Not a huge gap like last gen warrenting the price differences, the pricing this gen is a bit wacky.

Don't really see the problem at all in skyrim with kepler

Actually went and checked the local retail priced and they now have the 660 Ti's listed. Cheapest GTX 660 Ti is 349€, cheapest GTX 670 is 389€ and the cheapest 7950 is 379€. Yup looks like the radeon price adjustment wont kick in here for a while, still making the GTX 670 the best choice. Now I only need to actually scrape together the cash for one rolleyes.gif

He is talking about memory on the long run of the game, not average frame rate on a benchmark
post #29 of 489
damn prices...300-350 was high end in the last generation. Now 450-600 is... looking to buy a card at the 200-250 range. grrrrrrrr

Please post a link as soon as someone finds a 7950 vs 660 Ti max overclock review. That's what really matters in my book!thumb.gif
