I have a titanium HD too. What noticeable difference should I expect by installing these? smile.gif I'm mostly a gamer, but other than that I watch a movies and shows.

If there are 4 sockets, then why did u replace only 2?

Unless its just placebo, I think the mids are more clear and the bass is tighter

Remove the three screws on the back used to remove the RF shield.

The stock op-amps on the ASUS STX.

The right op-amp switched with the stock op-amp remaining, for some reason the right op-amp was easier to remove and re install.

As you can see the left op-amp's right legs are off and isn't completely installed, this needs to be resolved or the software will not recognize or power on the card which you can tell by the click sound the headphone amp makes when powering on.
Overall for these humbly priced op-amp (Thank you by the way, very fast shipping especially during the holidays) this solves the problem with the stock op-amps which have a slight droning or lingering effect on "crash" and "snare" sounds even when gaming the sound of foot steps on sand on Fallout seem to be more "closely packed".

Been searching/reading and after awhile I noticed they mentioned that LME49720NA is dual and that LME49710NA is single and should only be replaced by another single amp not dual... /confused.

Would this work with an Xi-Fi Fatal1ty card? I'm presuming it would. 600ohm?

There was a noticable improvement when I put one in my Xonar DS.

You should check out the manufacturers guide on the amps, and replacing them, http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=85621 , If you just want the low down;

From the bottom of that link, Quote
"Do Creative offer op-amps to sell as spare parts?

No. You can however source for it based on the following criteria.

Single or dual DIP (Dual- In-Line package) op-amps
Voltage Range +/- 5V to +/- 15
End quote

I over looked this myself to begin with the first time around, when I finally decided to replace the amps I ran back into that page, read it again.

I just ordered some amps from the OP (as in, original poster lol, not to confuse with op-amps wink.gif )
Will tell you how they sound on my Xi-Fi Ti. when they get here biggrin.gif

I also ordered from him and already installed them. I noticed the mids are clearer and bass is tighter. Because of my equalizer settings, it didn't sound good at first but after a few adjustments, it was better.

Also, I did shoot him (The OP) a pm but he hasn't replied.

Just replied, been busy, and didn't know how to quite explain it.

Single amp and dual amp just means the amount of ampifier circuitry within the Op Amp. I'm not a sound pro by any means, but by having two different amplifiers, you can filter certain high and low frequencies, instead of just one or the other. There are also quad amps out there which could have additional filters, but I'm sure they'd be pretty expensive with not as much sound differntial. Hope that makes sense.
