GTX 690 LED Lighting - Help with Painting Over Lighting

Here is what I'm looking for.

I need some translucent paint to use over the LED lighting "GeForce GTX" on my GTX 690. The green will totally stick out in my case where I have a black/gray/silver/gold theme going.

I simply want the light to show but in a gray/silver/black/gold.

pretty expensive card to just "paint over.."

I would try to find someone who can make a nice high quality vinyl sticker.. you could probably get them to put some type of logo or you're internet alias, name, name of the rig etc.

What about using photo filters http://www.tiffen.com/products.html?tablename=filters ? You could probably slip them inside the housing with no damage to the card. Only thing I could think of at the moment.

What color is the LED that lights the edge of the card? If it's GREEN, then you're stuck out of luck for changing the color with any sort of filter. The reason LEDs are so efficient is that they produce light in only the desired wavelength (color), unlike a bulb which produces most colors combined. Placing a red filter over a green LED won't make red light. It would only pass the part of the light that is common to both the LED and the filter.

I'd consider investigating whether that small black panel can be removed and how much clearance is behind it. If there's space, I'm sure it'd be fairly straightforward to add a couple white LEDs attached back to the power connector and cover the green LEDs. I haven't seen one of these cards disassembled yet though.
