As far as Panda's in WoW, I was referring to the launch date of WoW (which was after the work on the movies started. But after doing some digging in wowwiki, it appears that Panda's came MUCH later to the game ...

you are wrong, pandaren appeared in warcraft 3 tft which was released in 2003.

To be honest, I really liked the trailer and yes, it is different from all other trailers Wow had before, but just think abou it....

World of wacraft vanilla trailer: New game, focus: Showing off different classes and races fighting eachother.
Burning Crusade, Wotlk and Cataclysm were al about the big ass Bosses trying to mess up the world by killing everyoen.
Pandaria... well, focus: Pandas, their choices between Horde and alliance and the pandarian world and the still ongoing war between the horde and alliance.

It makes sense and I like it.

I think it is just the right part of the map warp around to the left part.
They always use Azeroth map in the the globe.
There might be difference in this one since it is not the MoP version yet.

Either way the globe is consistently spinning, it really is just that one shot. If you watch the trailer they are a bunch of island left of "Denmark" which in the real world there isn't, but in the Azeroth map there is.
