Operating System & Benchmark Pairing

Thread Starter
Hey!

As I'm starting to venture more and more into benching, I wanted to see if anyone has a 'bible' of sorts as to which OS is best for which benchmark?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I pretty much stick to xp 32 bit for 2d benching. Some guys do better with vista/server for wprime, I tried it but could never quite match my xp time. There's a guide to stripping the OS here somewhere, although the tiny's are OK as well.
For 3d you will want both xp & win 7. 3d01 will always do better in xp, vantage, heaven extreme, 3d11, pcmark 7 & pcmark vantage have to be in 7, the others it depends on the gpu, drivers, & tweaks.
