Looking for an atx htpc/lan case.

Are there any options out there? Looking for a case that can fit a full atx motherboard that still looks good enough and is light enough to be an htpc/lan case. It doesn't have to be an itx featherweight or anything, I know better than that. I just want something that looks good on the shelf as an htpc but isn't going to break my back if I take it somewhere.

I was going to go to a Lanbox Lite, but i can't find any micro atx amd motherboards that are worth the price, so I think I'm gonna keep the motherboard my amd rig has in it.

Just say $160 msrp. I'd never spend that on a case. tongue.gif I think the HTPC 8000 will do just fine.

That HTPC 8000 is quite an interesting thing isn't it? I kinda like it.....

I have the nMediaPC 6000 cases, their regular plain old HTPC cases. And they're absolutely solid cases, they really are. If you're wanting something "light" though, I certainly wouldn't recommend them. They're pretty heavy with just a light HTPC installed in them (motherboard, PSU, hard drive, optical drive, no GPU).

Other than being "heavy", I have absolutely zero complaints about my two cases from them. My only real complaint is I have no hardware to fill them up really, lol.

The 800 isn't going to be "light", per se. It definitely stands out in a room, though. It also has handles on the side, so it will be easier to carry than the lighter cases without them. It isn't that big, either. I just want something that I can transport, and handles on a case that cool are hard to pass up.

I found one locally with the LCD screen and fans installed for $80. Gonna pick it up Sunday.

Btw, how's that 3800+ working?

Lol, that 3800+ really made that rig finicky. Had to disable USB 2.0 for some odd reason, otherwise none of the USB ports would work. confused.gif Otherwise, the rig functions flawlessly now, 100x better than it was before. It's slow....but that's because of the dying WD 40GB IDE hard drive that's in it, lol.
