I tried it in person at a Fry's and it seemed pretty good to me. The only thing that kept me from buying it was the red backlighting. I'm looking for white backlight or maybe even the YOTD Ducky w/ MX Browns

Did you install Synapse and get a firmware update?
I have a Sensei and notice it on that mouse but not on the Taipan.
Both had Firmware updates.
