Hey OCN,

Im new to these forums so dont bite my head of for my dumbness smile.gif

Ive got a asrock n68 - s3 board (crappy) and corsair vengeance 8gb kit (2x4gb) @1600mhz

I saw somewhere on the net that you may get better gaming performance with ganged mode instead of unganged so i went into the bios and set it to unganged and when i tried to reboot it would post at all (blank screen).mad.gif

just wondering if there was anything else i needed to change along with ganged mode? thanks guys smile.gif

also if needed my timings are 9-9-9-24

Ganged mode means the two mem controllers act as one, giving whatever core wants mem access the full 128-bit bus.

UnGanged means the mem controllers are split, so 2 cores can request data from ram at the same time, but they each only get a 64-bit bus.

There is no real difference between the two in performance for anything.
