Hey, very new to anything so please bear with me.

I have a plan to hook up bitfenix spectre pro fans ( 4 x 200, 3 x 120, 1 x 140 ) to my haf X's LED switch. would this be possible? I may want to add other LEDs too.

Thanks

If they have an extra connector for LED control then they should work as the current coolermaster fan, besides the 3pin power connector, it also has a LED connector that goes on the switch.

I was also looking that back when I was trying to change my fan to get a blue one but I finally modded the leds.

I've got a few Spectres in my CM 690 II. It is possible to connect a Spectre fan to the LED switch and it works just like the original fan. However you will need to find a way to connect not only the one but all your fans to the switch, that might be a problem. If I remember correctly they connect via an additional 2pin connector.

Yeah, I assumed off the bat that i could do it with one but the multiple fans were what i was thinking about might not work

Perhaps not as simple a solution as you'd like, but what I did with my HAF X was wire the LED switch to a little relay box I made (just a 12v relay inside a project box) and use jack plugs (2.1/5.5mm I think, but it doesn't matter what you use) to all my fan LEDs. Wiring was a pain in the ass, and I wouldn't do it again, but now it's done it's nice to have everything switchable. I also put a PWM dimmer on the supply to the relay box, so all the LEDs are dimmable too.
