URGENT HELP: Splitting a microphone signal?

I don't know where to turn to so I'm turning to you guys here on OCN...

I've recently started doing gameplay footage for youtube. All is well except people can't hear my voice!

Obviously, a way around this is to use another mic and audacity. But that requires a PC. I HATE running my laptop when playing PS3. My room boils and I sweat like LeBron James in the 4th quarter.

Anyways, I found a way around this and it's quite simple except for the mic splitting.

I use a Avermedia Game Capture HD which doesn't require a PC. Just a USB thumbdrive, internal 2.5" SATA HDD or an external HDD. That's done. No PC required. Now for the microphone and voice recording...

I decided to go with a PC headset that has 2 3.5mm male connectors - one for mic, one for headphones - and use this product called "XJacker" that converts my 3.5mm headphone connector into 2 RCA plugs with back connectors on it and a 3.5mm to USB converter for my mic into my PS3.

Then I bought an Behringer Xenyx 502 audio mixer, 2 1/8" to 1/4" Stereo adapters for the mic and headset if I wanted it into the mixer, and 4 RCA to 1/4" adapters for the game audio. Problem is now that I can't have both my PS3 AND capture card recognize my voice. So it's either youtubers who hear me or people in game who do.

What could I use to split the 3.5mm mic connector on my headset to allow the signal to simultaneously the PS3 and mixer? Will it affect the level of my voice? And will this even actually work?!

Please help... I hate audio stuff and my brain is hurting lmao

Any 3.5 mm splitter will work, you want one that creates 2 identical identical jacks from 1. As far as voice volume I'm not sure, it's possible.

Something like this should work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882021055
