I can't help shake the idea that the S3 looks like an El'cheapo from the dollar store. tongue.gif

It's the way the corners are rounded, I've never been a fan of that myself. I know I shouldn't let that get in the way of a good product but hey, It is what it is. rolleyes.gif

Yeah I agree with you, it does look cheap but it's still an excellent phone. Not saying the One X isn't though. Both are excellent pieces of hardware and you can't really go wrong with any of these. I'd also take a look at the stock OS to see which one you prefer. For some people TouchWiz or Sense can be real dealbrakers...

FWIW either phone would be a good choice regardless smile.gif
Having played with the S3 and owning the HOX, they're both amazing.

Don't worry about the OS on the phone. Flashing a rom on the HOX (at least) is easy peasy.

why do people recommend the one x, its such a step backwards, no removable battery, no expandable storage, the s3 even supports 64gb micro sd.

as far as looks goes i like the one x better, but because of the above specs they removed from it thats a deal breaker for me. I hate the s3 as far as looks goes, dont like the color, the feel or the international style button they force on us in north America..

I own the galaxy note, and love it, specs wise it on par with the s3, and has 80% of the features, and doesnt feel cheap like the s3, id wait a couple months until the next batch of new phones are out, because both the one x and s3 are not that great..

but if i had to choose one it would probably be the s3

It's the "cover" for the Android OS. It's basically their personal touch to make it different. HTC uses Sense while Samsung uses TouchWiz.

I'm going to throw a vote for the one x the phone itself is very solid, and feels much better then the s3 in my opinion. Beyond that there really the only phones to consider right now the note is old and slow, the note 2 apparently should be out soon.

you have obviously never used a galaxy note then, especially after the ics update, its just as fast as the s3 and almost the same spec wise, so your stupid il-informed comment is so wrong, its def no where nere slow, and is so close to specs of the s3 id hardly call it old.

And yes the galaxy note 2 is in the making.

no need for name calling. baaasmiley.gif

Everyone of you have brought up valid points, It seems that my best course of action would be to try them both out at the AT@T store when I get the chance to head that way. I can't wait for the next line up of phones though because my phone is horribly buggy and I can't deal with it much longer. redface.gif
