yup, it's the RAM, one stick is fine, one is 100% useless....thousands of errors...installed new windows flawlessly...copy everything like it should be...thank you guys

the RAM is showing as "Single Channel" in both cpu-z and cpuid...how do i set it to Double Channel?

glad to be of assitance. to run dual channel, you need to have the same ram stick that you have right now. in your mobo, u need to put the RAM in the following DIMM slots to get dual channel.

DIMM_A1 and DIMM_B1 or
DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2
