Ram Causing Freezes?

So here is the thing my ram works completely fine runs games all that but recently I thought it was due to my video card. Next, I thought it was my cpu but after testing my pc with prime95 it froze within a few minutes. To be specific I started it at 5:04 am then watched a movie came back and the PC was froze at 5:13 am. Note, I ran OCCT stress test for a hour on the GPU and did the LinPack test on CPU for a hour no errors freezes or nothing. Soon as I used prime95 it froze so I'm guessing that it has to do with the ram because prime95 test I ran was the Blend test. My question is I have the same ram but I when I first built the pc I bought one 4gb stick then I purchased a pack 8gb pack. They installed fine windows runs all day everyday, I'm able to play games maxed out, can do intensive multitasking. For example, I can have 2 instances of 3d max running, Photoshop Cs5 65 bit, Google Chrome, GTA IV and 2 instances of Open iV and it will run fine but if I stream or run prime95 then my pc freezes. If anyone knows why please tell me.

Try running memtest86. I'm experiencing similar freezing issues like you however my system have never froze when running prime95 or gaming it only freezes during non cpu intensive task like internet browsing etc.

I finally figured out why my pc was crashing when I streamed so yesterday I ran OCCT on my cpu for a hour then on my GPU and they both tested fine then I used prime95 and ran the blend test
afterwards my pc froze so I googled and found the manual to my mother. Although, it accepts that ram but it doesn't automatically configure it for you so this is what I had to do. This is from the manual thanks for the help guys.

Configuration options: [DDR3-1600MHz] [DDR3-1800MHz] [DDR3-1866MHz] [DDR3-2000MHz]Profile Info : xxxxMHz–x-x-x-xxThis item appears only when you set the Ai Overclock Tuner item to [D.O.C.P.] and displays the current DRAM profile information. The profile information varies according to the DRAM O.C. Profle you’ve selected.

Here is the webpage for anyone else with the same board. http://www.manualowl.com/m/Asus/M4A87TD-EVO/Manual/264266
