I'm kinda torn between these two.

I don't play any multiplayer FPS, I do occasionally play single player ones like HL or Bioshock series. I don't play an exclusive genre either, It's a bit of everything (MMO. TPS, RPG, etc), so I don't need a "FPS mouse".

The two mouses are almost the same price, between 50-65€ depending on model (for the DA) so the price is no issue, I'm leaning towards the Sensei RAW because I feel like the shape will be much more comfortable for me (Fingertip) and I like it more aesthetically, but I don't really know which to get, people seems to favor the DA a lot more than the Sensei, but everyone talks about FPS this and FPS that, which I rarely play...

So in my case, for which one should I go?

I don't know of anyone who would recommend the sensei, since it has acceleration.

If you prefer a fingertip style grip I suggest getting a razer abyssus. Super inexpensive and one of the best tracking mice at the moment. The older generations had some jitter issues, but that is solved in newer firmware and rather rare at the time.

I have about 15 mice (yes, humiliating) and I use the abyssus atm. My 2nd choice would be the deathadder. The sensei isn't even on the list. I'd much sooner get an old microsoft WMO from eBay for $10.

I only play RTS at the moment.

Well I've only experienced the DA, and I too usually use fingertip style, and I find it quite good. I love using it in RTS games too, I'd say it's a good all-rounder, and is one of the more known mice out there (almost every PC Enthusiast has heard of it)

By far most people using mice with the avago 9500 don't even notice the acceleration, the rest are most likely pro gamers, or people that end up in forums like this. I'd say between these 2 go with the sensei raw as it has a shape that is easier to use for fingertip grip, unlike the deathadder that is purely shaped for palmgrip

That's my worry HaiiYaa, sacrificing comfort and going for a mouse that might get tiring to use with my grip style for something that I might not even notice, I'm no FPS player, the only thing I could say that I play at a "competitive" level are MMOs. and you don't use the mouse too much other than moving the character and the camera.

I've been using a G5 for years and I didn't know of mouse acceleration till recently, how does it compare to the Sensei, better or worse? I'm more concerned about tracking though, if it's jittery or bumpy it's a no go for me.

I love Razer Mice but from my experience they are not very reliable. Had 3 Mice die in less then 8 months.

You should be fine with the Sensei Raw if you're not playing FPS games seriously. The only thing that I'd be worried about is that the build quality of the RAW is worse than the regular Sensei or Xai.

Neither - go for the MX518. I've owned both the RAW and DA - something you should actually avoid, really.

Geez lol

What are you people doing to them
I have 5 razer mice, they all still work fine after years. Maybe they are skimping on parts quality nowadays?

Info has been passed onto me that it's discontinued. I still have mine, I should try it out on quake live sometime.
