normal native was 1440x900 @ 75Hz
vga cable died so I replaced it and it worked fine at 1440x900
now it says native is 1024x768 @ 60hz
old cable wouldnt go above YYYYx900 but new cable hits 1600x1200
also 1440x900 is now not supported and has to be a custom resolution in nvidia control panel but it looks really crap
currently at 1600x900 which is better
