overclocking g.skill pc3-14900 16gb makes screen look funny

Hello all,

(My first post! Yay me!) Anyways, on to the point. Whenever i overclock my RAM and when the windows boot screen gets done loading my screen looks like i have no video drivers installed. The res lowers itself and everything is all big. it runs at 1866mhz with 9-10-9-28-2t timings but whenever i TOUCH the latency my screen gets all funky. i've tried raising the voltage and changing timings manually but nothing. When running at stock settings its fine. My fx-8120 is overclocked at 4.48ghz at 1.39v (stable on prime95 18hours on both blend test and large ftt also small ftt for ~6hours) Both my 560ti's are clocked at 980, 1950, 2116 at 1.018v stable. Any ideas? My LLC is at 100% (extreme) for both HT and NB. CPU/NB 1.25v. other voltages have also been set but cant think off the top of my head.

Hi and Welcome to OCN smile.gifthumb.gif

It is possible that you are overloading the IMC. Is that 4x4Gb?
Anyway, it's more likely that the sticks (or some of them) just don't OC smile.gif I had the same thing with Vengeance 1600, didn't OC at all.
