Back on topic: check out this post by Anthony Garreffa:

I read the article. The article posted by one party in a multi-party conflict.

NVIDIA is out to stop our early GEFORCE reviews. This article is for you, our lovely readers; we want you all to be fully up to speed on what is happening behind the scenes. We are not done yet NVIDIA. Expect us.

What's the worst case for us? We continue to release reviews without an NDA signed and reap the benefits that the traffic brings in and helps us grow bigger and bigger.

Commentary like this does not inspire confidence. Whether or not they have been wronged, this is not the appropriate course of action. Hopefully we'll get more information from other, less partial sources.

My apologies but your response gave the impression that you hadn't read the article. They aren't circumventing a NDA as there is no NDA to circumvent.

Edit: TT aren't blameless in this but if their side of the story is even remotely accurate then there are some serious issues with Nvidia's treatment of the press and OEMs.

Just because they haven't signed a NDA, doesn't mean that they aren't circumventing the NDA process. They're releasing information early with the intention of getting more hits on their website. Is this an appropriate course of action for a reputable review site, whether or not they've been wronged? Personally, I don't think so.

I can't comment on how nVidia deals with the press or OEMs, as I have not had an interaction with them at those levels. I am addressing the actions of TweakTown in this situation specifically. We don't know enough about the situation to take sides in the ongoing conflict as far as I'm concerned. (Although I stand by my comment about their content quality tongue.gif)

It's all IMO, of course, so I won't claim to be an authoritative source on the topic.

Im sorry Staryoshi but if someone doesn't even have 10 minutes in their day to reply to one of many countless email's even if it was to tell me no and give a reason why I don't see why I would abide by a set of rules that do not apply to me.

Edit - Im not siding with TT and yes I believe their is more to the story than is being told. (also their reviews are lackluster like i stated b4)

If I'm a hardware company, what has TweakTown done that would convince me to give it review samples?

If you're a media outlet, what would you do to convince a hardware company to give you review samples?

Ignore Nvidia for a moment. Substitute the name for anyone. EA. Microsoft. AMD. Intel. MSI. Whatever name you want. Is TweakTown's behavior throughout this whole mess justified, and does it warrant any company giving it the time of day?

Nvidia is pure garbage. They still haven't released their drivers for tegra 2 which is preventing a lot of phones from getting ICS.

What has TweakTown done that would convince you to act like a child and not even give them an answer?

I like what Linus Torvalds has to say to Nvidia regarding that situation.

Its no secret that nvidia are jerks to companies that work with them in the supply chain. They are quite frankly arrogant jerks to deal with, but customers like them. Most customers don't really know the half of it...

This right here. They had a perfectly good partnership before fermi and outta the blue Nvidia pulled the plug. No reason as to why, no responses to any contact made.
Substitute any company and its still a bad demonstration of business.

Again I am not condoning wat TT did by making the whole situation public. But as far as the reviews go I don't feel they did anything wrong.

TT did not act up at all until they found out that Nvida threatened MSI. Up until recently they have been quiet and all they did was post reviews. They tried to find out the NDA date to the 680 but Nvidia wouldn't even contact them back to give it to them.
