Don't blame TT for doing what they do if what they're saying is true.

As I said. If nvidia does not want to give samples to TT that's totally fine. Nvidia has every right to pick and choose how many and to who they give samples but what right does nvidia have to dictate how many and to who there board partners give samples. MSI bought thous kepler chips and installed them in there boards. If they want to give out samples to be reviewed after the NAD then they have the right to do so to anyone including TT with out having nvidia threaten them for it.

I can't comment on how nVidia deals with the press or OEMs, as I have not had an interaction with them at those levels. I am addressing the actions of TweakTown in this situation specifically. We don't know enough about the situation to take sides in the ongoing conflict as far as I'm concerned. (Although I stand by my comment about their content quality tongue.gif)
It's all IMO, of course, so I won't claim to be an authoritative source on the topic.

So if i get this right, you ask TT to respect the whole NDA process even though there isnt one in the first place and while nvidia isnt bahaving-responding like they should have.

Then you proceed trying to force your partners to follow your logic-actions,just cause you can.

Also just to be clear,i try not to pick sides and i even considered getting a 660ti for my rig.I just dont like the whole bully behaviour and i believe we as customers should unite and react back. -no im not an anarchist nor a communist,i just dont like bullies-

The guy sounds like a real piece of work writing this. They wrote angry e-mails to NVidia because they weren't getting what they wanted? No WONDER they got the cold shoulders. And saying they leaked information jsut to get at NVidia and then moaned they still got treated badly?

This guy sounds like Charlie Dermejian.

The reason we can't have a discussion about this is that most of the people replying to this thread are huge Nvidia fans themselves and aren't able to seperate that from what's going on.

Too bad.

That claim isn't even substantiated. That's hearsay.

There's probably some truth to Nvidia strongarming people - TT aren't the first ones to say that. But the cooler thing... you shouldn't take everything you read as gospel, especially if there's literally no evidence of it ever happening aside from a pissed off reporters word.

Anyway, Nvidia aren't obligated to provide TT with anything. It sucks for TT but Nvidia liking you isn't anybody's birthright lol. This is actually childish

The claim doesn't need to be substantiated. TT's been reporting hardware news for fifteen years and by all accounts have maintained a high standard through it all. An organization like this gets the benefit of the doubt.

^ Yeah. By their own admission they weren't the biggest tech site around but they wanted free samples to test for their site and to get traffic. Nvidia didn't do it so they moaned and got angry? I'm not surprised they got shunned.

Half of you didn't read the articles or this thread for that matter.

NVIDIA AND TT WORKED TOGETHER UP UNTIL FERMI. THEIR WAS A PARTNERSHIP BEFORE. ITS NOT LIKE TT CAME OUT OF THE BLUE AND SAID HEY GIVE ME SAMPLE'S.

It was Nvidia who outta the blue cut them off (Understandable) but no reason was given and various attempts to contact them were ignored (even one to find out an actual NDA date). The one time they did get a respond it was "were to busy" (middle finger in my book)

Im done here.

Are you admitting you were wrong?

It is perfectly relevant. Your post assumed a level of childishness from Nvidia and you avoided my questions altogether. You are seriously naive if you read the linked article and accept it all at face value as truth.

We don't know that their relationship with Nvidia was perfectly fine. We don't know what was said to MSI. We have only ONE source, the very one writing the article, stating why MSI responded as they did. Only one side of this clearly convoluted story is being told; the lack of a response from MSI and Nvidia in no way validates it as truth, either. What we have, as Tslm pointed out, is a lot of hearsay.

This belongs in Rumors, not Hardware.

Keep in mind that everything posted by TweakTown in this statement is from ONE point of view, theirs. It's in their best interest to tell the story in such a way that favors their side of the argument. Don't assume that what they've posted is cut and dry fact nor attempt to build an argument on this assumption.
