So I was moving my PC power and cooling Silencer mk II 650 to my sisters birthday rig after I upgrade to a Mk II 750W. I plug in the 24 and the 4pin for the micro atx board cpu + ram installed. boots for like 1 second then fans shut off and no display. Tried the same with with 2 other motherboard ram cpu combos. Same thing occurs.
When I try the paper clip jumpstart on the power supply, it turns on.

Not sure what to do right now ):.

mad.gif Her birthday is in a week too ):.

RMA ? It shouldn't be doing on any system let alone 3 ... I wouldn't bother looking into it ... You'd be out of a system for however long it takes to process the RMA though...

Sounds like a shorting issue, check to make sure you grounded everything.
If possible, pull out everything, isolate them and then test that way.

Well I'd leave her PSU in her new system, she shouldn't have to wait at all on a B-day gift, and you could buy a new PSU while you wait for the RMA to be processed... I don't know how the Customer Service is at PC power and cooling hopefully its fast.

This, it sounds like the PSU works fine, check all of the connections, make sure nothing could be shorting out, etc.

I did that. left only 1 stick of ram, cpu and just motherboard. Tried in every possible way I had. different rooms etc. From what I can see it seems like the power supply cant feed the motherboard with power or something -_-. Because it turns on fine. but when plugged in; the motherboard gets a jolt of power to jumpstart stuff then just shuts off.
I talked to a customer rep yesterday and he told me to just RMA it :/ I'll probably just buy another power supply for her and just use the RMA unit for some other build. Either that or just wait for the unit since the I live pretty close to their Carlsbad RMA center. mad.gif

Not sure if this includes removing all the components from the case itself and isolating on a static-free bag/cardboard box?

Yea I did that as well. since i didn't want to endure the pain of putting it in the case and retrying multiple times.
Slapped all combos in their respective boxes and tried :/ no dice ):
