Corsair M60/M90 Owners Club - Page 13

Hi guys, I just bought a M60. I am coming from CM Storm Spawn. First off I notice this is a heavier mouse even without the weights. It's also slightly longer. My main issue with M60 is the grip, it's a bit uncomfortable. I think this mouse is for people who use their middle finger for scroll wheel. If I do that, my pinky just rest comfortably on the side of the mouse. I am a cross between claw and palm grip. Build quality wise it seems better than the Spawn. But I prefer the mouse wheel scrolling on the spawn, I prefer more friction when scrolling (I find my old razer salmosa pro as the best among the 3 I owned when it comes to mouse scroll). The buttons are easy and convenient to press. The sniper button (because of style of grip) is a bit far to reach. Well I am using 800 dpi only so I have actually no use for it.

Lastly, even with windows plugn and play driver only, the mouse sensitivity is good. I remember when I first use the Spawn, I have to install it's own driver.

I'll post pics when I have time.

The CM Storm Spawn is lighter to press. The M60 is slightly harder.

Yeah, learning to use the software is this piece of kit's bane. Once you get it figured out it works very well. I do not use software profiles, my six onboard profiles are all used using 'Hardware Playback', which has worked fine for me playing ME4, L4D2, B2, Skyrim, CoP etc.. One of the first things I learned is to have all profiles loaded and to assign all common keys to the same buttons in all profiles. (My setup example: Button 3 > Quick Save...4 > DPI Up...7 > DPI Down...5 > Profile Up...6 > Profile Down.) Having the latest firmware is a must, and in doing so it is important to do it the right way to avoid bricking the unit.

Check out this Corsair site for stickys on how to do things and they can also answer questions too.

The irony. Although the M60 is geared towards right handers, it is actually more comfortable when use on a left hand. You can rest your ring and small finger near the sniper button. smile.gif Try it.

Hey Guys. M90 owner here. Nice mouse and all. I binded the key ' on TeamSpeak to talk with, and then binded one of the side buttons on the mouse to that key, so I could use the mouse button to talk on TeamSpeak with. But the problem is that it won't respond in certain situations. For example, if I have the Teamspeak window open, it won't work. The same happens when I'm in a game. But when I'm just sitting around on the desktop, or using other programs, the button works. It's a really odd issue. If I use the ' button to talk with on the keyboard, it works in all circumstances. How can I fix this?

Got my M60 yesterday and I am absolutely loving this thing. Considering I paid the same price as my Razer Abyssus I upgraded from the value on this mouse is spectacular. The sniper button is a miracle in Battlefield 3 as well biggrin.gif

anyone having issues with thier M90 scroll wheel? Whenever I scroll up it will rapidly scroll down a few pages and it is driving me nuts. I already made sure the firmware is updated and tweaked different settings. Really tempted to smash this crap

I have a little quick review of my new Corsair M65 vs the Razer Imperator than I'm moving from if anyone is interested.

About the mouse:

Its is a textured plastic on the sides, which I am assuming is for grip, but its smooth plastic on top.

Its weighted very nicely, its a little long and I have fairly large hands, and I feel like its three times heavier than my old Imperator. The Imperator, though, is the most comfortable mouse ever, even though it had its software issues, and the side buttons weren't as good, and the texture of the top of it was pretty weird (soft touch plastic that liked to collect dirt and become dirty)

The feet on it are incredibly smooth and its taking some getting used to since it's a lot smoother than the Imperator was. I have it on a hard plastic mousepad (Razer Destructor).

Here are some pictures:

IMG_1594

The sniper symbol is a button to automatically reduce DPI on press and raise back to whatever you set when you depress it

IMG_1593

The scroll wheel feels a lot weightier than the imperator, and a lot less plasticky, which I like.

IMG_1606

The weights are removable, but I have no reason to take any of them off.

The M90 is 52% off right now, and I'm thinking of getting one. Are these somewhat dust resistant? Got an extremely dusty room and don't want a mouse that looks dusty and have a lot open space.
