If you like the shape of the DA, but want something with better LOD, I would suggest Zowie EC1 eVo. Those are great mice, track really nicely, have an extremely low LOD. The other reason why I like this mouse is because of the mouse feet. They are extremely large, and make the mouse glide with very little friction.

For $49, it's a great mouse.

The old DA's have a lower LOD, right? Although, it's pretty much impossible to get a first gen DA anymore frown.gif

From my understanding yes, the older one's do have a lower LOD. I know there is a tape fix, but I always hated that on my mouse.

I have a low low end dell keyboard the came with a computer i bought 5 years ago. However it seems to be doing what I need. Do you think that a new Razer keyboard would improve my game play?

Razer keyboards are garbage.

Is the sliding really that bad? Do you have any experience with the Death Adder mouse?
Also my borther has a G500 it's awsome smile.gif

The R.A.T. 7 is great for it's customisability, but for people with wide hands it can make your hands ache after several hours of intense gaming. tongue.gif

Do you think the R.A.T. 7 is worth it's cost?
PS, small hand man right here.

Thanks you for the suggestion, for $50 you can't really go wrong.

Ah, you see I will be playing StarCraft so my need for a mass amount of buttons on my mouse is low.

Imo, if your keyboard works for you, then keep it! Otherwise, I would look at other keyboards then razer, I am a huge razer fan boy, believe me.

I switched from my Lychosa to a CM Storm Trigger (mechanical keyboard) and it is amazing, not that my razer one was bad, it was just almost as loud as a mechanical besides the fact that you HAD to bottom out the keys rolleyes.gif . You can save money by not going razer, but, I personally love their mice and have had no issues with it. I had the Deathadder and it was a great mouse, I just got tired of it. Gave it to my GF when I got a lachesis on 1saleaday.com for $30... then I got bored of it. Bought a 2012 Mamba the other day and am really enjoying it except for the fact that it is really heavy compared to the previous mice (I wish Fry's had mice out like they do keyboards so you can feel them and "test" them out sort of.).

I play a lot of league of legends, not so much RTS, but I really enjoy the lower profile ambidextrous mouse over ergonomic mice I feel like. I'd try and test out the feel of mice before going and buying one honestly. Don't shy away from other brands because of their names though, Razer isn't alone in the market for great mice. thumb.gif

The build quality of the mouse is very good in general, the only gripes I have with it is the thumb area of the mouse can pivot in and out, being held in place by a screw which is tightened with the provided allen key. However with it being a screw holding it in place, no matter how tight you try and make the screw, if you push in on the thumb area hard enough at the end, it will move back in.

Also due to the odd shape of the mouse, the placement of the pads of the bottom of the mouse is non-symmetrical, because of this, when parts of the mouse are in certain cofigurations, you can get a very slight wobble.

Other than that I recommend the mouse, it has a very satisfying click that my Deathadder doesn't.

Oh and I forgot, I have yet to find a use for the second mouse wheel on the R.A.T. 7.

Since your brother has a G500, you already know they are not Claw/fingertip grip for small/medium hands. Logitech G9x is more likely fit your hand.
