98C isn't really dangerous. It does sound very hot but when these parts are designed to still function up to 120C its actually not so bad. Also whats the point of overclocking if you are going to limit the fps to 60 with vysnc (assuming your monitor is 60Hz) Couldn't you hit 60 fps with stock clocks?

I really hate how companies skimp on non reference coolers by only ensuring it touches the GPU. I hate non reference coolers in general mostly except for MSI's. Even the ASUS ones are extremely dodgy sometimes, just look at the 7950 - the thing doesn't even fit the pcb lol.
At least reference always works properly and everything, even the RAM is properly cooled.

I run vsync as well in most games (except most FPS games). The point isn't being able to keep an AVERAGE of 60 FPS, the point to overclocking is to increase your MINIMUMS to be 60 or over if possible.

Obviously I understand that but with 2x7970's I'm pretty sure he could hit a solid 60 without overclocking assuming that his monitor is 1920x1080.

Metro 2033 lol. However, I am having some real issues with crysis 2. I keep getting bad stuttering when I move the mouse. This happenes with CF on and off.

Ah the usual suspects ^^ Surely in Metro you will still hit lower than 60 even with your cards oc'ed, the advanced DOF in that game is ridiculous. As for Crysis 2 that is a bit weird as I'm not far off getting 60 constant with one card.
