i have a crosshair v formula fx 8150 32gb ram latest bios latest drivers,,,,computer running good ,,,,but my ram is showing up as 24gb in bios, windows says theres 8 gb hardware reserve:....but when playing in bios with ram settings can get it to show up as 32gb but very unstable and restarts computer back at 24gb and sometimes 15 gb,,,its up and down ,,,also restarts are unstable ,patriot viper xtreme 1866 ram,,,,.

Any advice on getting it stable in the bios would be great ,,,as it must be some setting issue,THANKYOU:)

I had the same thing happen to me. It was a bad stick. I RMAd and didn't have any problems after that.

Have you tired running with just one stick of ram? Try with all sticks, you might have a bad stick, or (would be a little more rare) a bad slot on your mobo
