hello everyone. I am very new to overclocking and just finished building my first computer. I want to lower the timing on my ram.

The ram i have is MEM 8Gx2|GSKIL F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL.

It is suppose to be 1600. As of now I have it on XMP profile.

i would really like to get to 1600 with 9-9-9-24 settings. Any help anyone can give me would be much appreciated

Your RAM is DDR, or Double Data Rate. CPU-Z reports what the actual RAM bus clock speed is. You really are running at 1600.

As for timings, you're running intel, don't bother. Intel doesn't care about timings that much. If you want to do it anyway, go into bios and lower the needed timings, that's all there is to it. The only question is if it will be stable at those timings. I don't know the max voltage for those, so I wouldn't recommend adding voltage unless someone can come here and say how high they can go without breaking things.

Then it sounds like it isn't stable, you may have to live with 1600 10-10-10.
