I've set myself up with a huge Phanteks PH-TC14PE air cooler. I don't like how much space it takes up and that it blocks access to a good chunk of my motherboard. I'm thinking of switching to using a simple self contained unit as I'm not looking at add another hobby to my list by building a custom loop.
I do plan to start overclocking once I have my build finalized, but I'll let the components/noise dictate how far I go, not the other way round.
I'm thinking of either the Corsair H80 or H100 in my Antec Eleven Hundred case. I know the case wasn't designed with watercooling in mind, but I figure I have a couple of options.
1. Install the H80 where the 120mm exhaust fan is now. This would mean it would extract case air and dump it outside of the case. (Setup like this)
2. Install the H100 on the hard drive bays, this would mean the heat was being dumped inside the case. (Setup like this - pic)
Which scenario do you think would work out best for cooling my system overall, given than I will soon have SLI'd GTX680s installed? Is the size of the radiator going to be the biggest factor, or would the positioning make a difference.
