I have a intel core i5-750, and I upgraded my video card about a year after I built my PC, with a GTX 560. I have 8 GB of ram, however, I come across a weird type of lag. Sometimes when I am playing Dota 2, and I put music on (through itunes, winamp, or pandora) my computer starts to lag. My mouse will freeze up, and have a 3-5 second delay, and it doesn't go away. One way to fix the problem sometimes is replugging my keyboard, but that only works for a minute or so. If I turn off my music, it stops lagging(usually). I've also noticed my CPU Usage will sometimes go to 99%, but it will still lag if it goes back down to 35% or so. The problem also can come when I am watching a video/movie. And my motherboard sound drivers will pop up and say "Jack plugged in (or out)" and it spams that message.
I'm using a Steelseries Sensei, and Razer Lycosa.
Also recently, my Firefox has been taking 5-10 seconds to start up every time. I tried reinstalling, and the problem still occurs. If I leave Firefox open, it is fine, it is only when I have it closed, and try to open a completely new one.
Any idea what causes this?
