Yes the back of it will feel warm, it's a massive monitor that consumes a lot of power. My U2711 does the same (I have the sound bar so it adds more), I have 2 desk fans pointed towards the rear vents, cools it down quite a bit.

It's normal and it's honestly the only thing I hate about my monitor setup.... things can certainly get warm. haha.
