Very dissappointed with koolance aquian. load temps 10c higher!! - Page 3

Yeah, setup your Custom kit then run dual prime to figure out the highest your CPU will get. Then set the CPU shut off about 10C above that and you're set.

ok, so i took the cooler out of the case, and lo and behold, the temps dropped.
Asus probe reads 37c idle/48c load
intal tat 29c idle/45c load

it looks like the koolance is a bad design, oh well, back to the drawing board!!


My asus mobo doesnt have the thermal shutdown in bios either, unfortunatly.

Good I'm glad it was simple to figure out...Can you leave it outside of your case?...Or will it be a pain like that? If you still want to send it back we will be glad to piece you togather a good rig...A real killer one would be around $225.00, but you would have one that is easy to upgrade and will cool well...

Man that's a shame that you can't use temp to shut your CPU in case of pump failure....You can still hook it to a monitor that will alert you...
