And now Google/Moto have patents that Apple have violated. It's the exact same as the Apple/Samsung case. 1 party violates patents, the other sues.

Have a read of this: http://www.fosspatents.com/2012/08/google-loses-leverage-as-motorola.html

I'm just saying the Motorola acquisition may not be as useful to Google as they thought.

Apple claimed that the royalty rate was too high. They wanted to see what Motorola had charged other companies for this patent.

why care of how much they charge others of how much.
it's their tech, the can sell as much as they want,
just like when u go to supermarket , u see smething for such price, u like u buy, otherwise walk away, eat something els.

Does anyone have the patent numbers, i'd like to study this and see the actual violations myself.

But under FRAND they can't charge whatever they want. It has to be fair, reasonable and non-discrimatory. Apple thinks the royalty rate is too high, so they want proof that this is what they've charged others. If it isn't, it would get Motorola Mobility into trouble.

Yeah, have a look here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57500273-37/apple-v-samsung-the-infringing-device-scorecard/. If you go to Google.com/patents and search for D '667, etc., you can find them easily.

Check out fosspatents.com too, it's covering all this stuff and has heaps of information about these patent law suits.

How about we put the C.E.O.'s of every company into a thunder dome and have them fight to the death to see who wins patent rights?
