Just started boinc, have a few questions

Thread Starter
I just started by doing milkyway at home. The odd thing is that I see my cpu only hitting 38% max(just barely touched that) and is mostly at around 13-25 percent. I would figure it would want to use a lot more resources than that, is there something I can do to fix that?

And secondly, I cant figure out how to link my boinc account with the online tracker. Is there an easy procedure to do so?

1: You mite want to check under Tools/Computing preferences/On Multiprocessor Systems, Use At Most?
It may be set low by default

2: do you mean BOINCstats/BAM?

It is set to 100%, maybe that is just all it can do with the workload its given?

I only use Milkyway@Home on my GPUs but would have thought it would have run at or around 80~100% if that was chosen.

You may need to link the computer to BOINCstats BAM, by adding to a Manager under Tools/Add Project, It will ask you if you want to add project or account manager?
Tick the add account manager box and click next, fill out (I think it is?) email and password and click finish
Then sing in to the BAM site with your user name and password and you should see the computer there but your computer will/may take upto 24 hours to update and show a result
You will need to do this for all computers that you have BOINC on smile.gif
