You need to be more specific on what you want. Just general advice can be found in the link you provided under the laptop's specs page.

As for the ASUS website I think that they finally realized the horrible hell of a labyrinth their laptop section was and cleaned it up by taking all the older models off and starting fresh with the current gen IB laptops.

It looks like that may be an older model of the K55VD or K53SD in the versatile performance section of their notebooks on their website if you care to check. They also have some others with a more powerful GPU and some with integrated graphics if you don't need the power in the versatile performance section.

If you have more questions I will be happy to answer! I helped as much as I.could for now though. It would be nice to have a more specific question. smile.gif

He wants to know if its got current generation parts. Yes it does have a 3rd gen ivy i5 and a 6xx series nvidia card. So it isn't an old asus, its new. Whether or not those specs are good enough to meet your needs is a different question. a 610m isn't anything to write home about.

From what I understand, a lot of retailers sell watered down version of default laptops to save costs. I though bestbuy was the main culprit but I don't know much on the topic.
