Graphics drivers unistall when ram overclocked

Thread Starter
i don't get whats going on here. Every time i boot my computer with my ram oced to 2133mhz it uninstalls my gpu drivers. My ram says its set to run at 2133mhz. i even set all my timings manually becuase RE4 had them all screwed up. Weird how ram effects my gpu drivers. I havn't noticed anything else so at this point i think its only my gpu drivers that are effect by my ram settings.

This makes absolutely no sense....

I can see having an unstable overclock causing general stability issues, but have never heard of one uninstalling already installed software. In some rare situations an unstable overclock on a CPU can cause some data corruption, but what you are describing, I would be looking at another issue.

well i think it mad my sata controller go crazy cause i had a bounch of other stuff on my hard drive act out of order. when i bump it back down to 1866mhz all is fine so i guess i should just settle on that. one other thing is whats the setting on my mobo that makes it so my v.core goes down when not under load. I just loaded everything back to safe defualts in bios now my v.core is at 1.3 volts which is just not right. It used to read .8 volts at idle and 1.2 under load. Hell at 1.255 volts i had my cpu overclocked to 4.2ghz and all was stable. I don't really like using 1.3volts at stock settings making my temps higher than they should be at stock and wasting power for no reason.

Make sure your SATA configuration is set to AHCI, and if the issue doesn't improve make sure you update the SATA controller drivers. In your case ASUS went with Asmedia, never heard of em.

EDIT: Yea, 1.3v on stock is way too high on idle.....something just isn't right with your rig. You may have a faulty board and it is just showing signs in a bizarre way.
