Computer wouldent turn on

Ok so my computer was getting a little dusty so i took out the GPU and then sprayed it out with canned air, then did the rest of the computer. I hooked the gpu back up and then hit the power button and nothing would happen. It just would not turn on. Made sure everything was plugged up and it was. So i flipped the power switch on the back of my psu and then flipped it back up and then it turned on. Why did i have to do that?

you should've pressed the back switch before removing the GPU... even better is disconnecting the power cable before removing any major part. But since the psu is working, I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to d/c the power cable before removing or adding anything major.

Wow just wow. I really can not believe I forgot to do that. Such an idiot mistake on my part. I didn't harm anything did I?

you have a quality psu and it should prevent damage from happening...but I've killed a sound card & a motherboard by forgetting to remove the cord (relocated the soundcard to another slot and the pc wont boot no matter what, hours of testing should both board & card went kappot)
