I just purchased a M5A97-Evo for $61 to use with my 960T, Now I stumbled upon a R2.0 version. Looks like mainly Digi+VRM upgrades but will this mean that my board might not be compatible with Piledriver?

Thanks for responding Gyro.
In short your link about the revisions is about Thunderbolt is for higher-end ASUS boards. Unfortunately the M5A97-Evo R2.0 does not list it as a feature. Weird...

If its true the Piledriver works on existing AM3+ that is great. My M3A78-T (AM2+) has served me well since I built me rig in the beginning of 2009!
I'm hoping my 960T either unlocks or overclocks well to get me a bit longer life out of the system. Seems a few of my Games crash a bit going to 3.9GHz on current built. I got the Ivy itch though
