Going to be around $250 iirc

THanks a bunch for the link. I unsubscribed to Linus after a while got tired to seeing everything I can't have. tongue.gif

Man this board is pure SEX! especially for my black and yellow build. As far as I can tell the only differences between this and the z77a-gd65 are the supercharger bios button, the 6 pin PCIE power supplement, bluetooth, wifi and the SLi limitation. Kind of disappointed on the SLi limitation. Oh well I'll never run 3 cards anyways. I don't recall them talking about MSRP but they did compare it to the sabertooth which I believe goes for around 250.

I would not speculate and say around $210! according to this motherboards.org session (has a bit more info in it when it comes to that):

No. If you watch the video the MSI rep clearly states that it supports up to 2 cards in SLi and 3 cards in CFX. I don't udnerstand why or how but that is what he says.

The MSI rep states $219 MSRP.

Which is exactly the same as the GD65 and is in fact the baseline of the 3rd gen Intel CPU's. so it shouldn't be on your list there smile.gif

btw, SLI not SLi smile.gif

Neliz is the MSI rep dude. it says it in his signature.

Neliz can I get the components used on your board? Like PWM i am guessing is uP1618A, I am guessing the FETs are 35A DrMOS, and that you are using some doubler that you always use. Is that correct? I am going to add this board to my VRM list as I add the asrock board b/c they gave me their specs.

Hrmm so the gd65 can only do 2 way SLi for nvidia but 3 way crossfire for amd gpu's? Ok I was under the impression could do a tri sli on my gd65

I'm not that familiar with SLI but the MSI rep in the NCIX video says that the 2 way SLI is an Nvidia limitation, not the motherboard's, which is why it can still run 3 way CF.

Glad that you liked the pictures - I was going to put up a few but I know how much I enjoy lots of pics of new HW. I will be getting some better equipment in to photograph products from now on, as well as a camera for reading ICs that is essentially a microscope with a sensor wink.gif.

That is not a overclocking device wink.gif I will at least say that is the wifi adapter and the female connector is on the end. Nice that the wifi antenna base is magnetic and will be staying in place where you stick it (case?)

I think I may be understanding what you are saying about SLI... I believe are you trying to compare this in your mind to a board that a PLX chip... Those will cost $100+ (~) more than this one. The boards that have a PLX chip will give you more PCI-E lanes but you will also be getting extra latency with those lanes, and power consumption that will need more cooling. Also dollars, many of them.
