Hello!
Are there coming any 150hz+ monitors in near future? Ever since I've moved to 120hz, i've found myself hoping for even higher hz monitors. I can't find any CRT's and frankly they are too low resolution at 150+hz. I still remember fondly my old CRT when I used to play CS at 170hz 640x480!
Are there coming any new connection types, which could be used with monitors, to give even higher resolution at higher HZ than current limit is? What is the current hz limit at 1080p?
I can't understand why the 60hz is still accepted by the majority of consumers? The studies that've said human can only see 60hz have been debunked ages ago. The difference is huge when comparing 120hz vs 60hz, first hand. I think majority of people would notice a difference beyond 120hz. 100 hz feels bad compared to 120hz aswell.
I know companies probably don't have any driving force to push higher hz into market as majority of consumers accept the 60hz is the limit, maybe they should do like some gaming peripheral companies, and aggressively market the higher HZ?
Why do we accept 60 fps as optimal performance with new game titles aswell? Why not 120 fps as minimium to give pleasable viewing experience? This would push cpu&gpu companies to advance in their area a lot quicker aswell.
Just some thoughts and questions,
Thanks!
