What units are you folding? Also, you can get quite a boost in PPD solely from upgrading your 1333 RAM to 1866 or even better 2133 RAM.

Best consistent PPD would be from running v6 using -advmethods and small units to get 75xx units. 7500 is one of the best units on SMP (AFAIK the best a3 unit), 7501 and 7507 are good to. V7 has 700x, 701x, 702x and 100xx a4 units where I got 61-72k PPD on a 4.7GHz i7 @ ubuntu 10.10 nix but those are rare to get and run extremely hot.

That PPD is low for a 6097. You should get in the 36-40k range on an i7 @ 4.7. I think some new ram should send you ahead. Can you post a log of the v6 client in here with code brackets.

As for the 8049 and 8004 what was your TPF? smile.gif

For comparison purposes, I get 0:22 TPF on 8004 WUs on my i7 2700k @ 4.9ghz and ram @ 2133mhz. That's on Ubuntu 12.04, but I had the same TPF on Ubuntu 10.10.

So 6:58 TPF on the 6097 = 30k
0:27 on the 8004 = 27k

That's still low for 4.7GHz i7. I'd first upgrade the RAM if I were you frown.gif
