I know there is a built in option in Win 7 to restore the start menu to its default state. A virus has hidden just the LINKS (like my computer etc) on the right side of the menu. How do I restore them? Tried google but all I get is "HOW TO RESTORE TEH PROGRAMS IN ALL PROGRAMS DURR!" which I don't need.

Right click task bar -> properties -> start menu -> customize. Is that what you're looking for?
That will put the links back on the start menu but I doubt it will reconnect the links if that's what you meant...
