Right now guys I've OC'ed my CPU using AI Overclocker witch is in my settings in my bios...heres a pic below. Now my question is..with these settings..is there a way i can alternate them to get a stable 2.5 over clock.. this over clock i do have now is stable.. this for the feedback guys

thats a nice start, now raise that FSB some more, you r gonna have to put that RAM on a divider to slow it down, whats the CPU Vcore set to in Bios? Lower that HT frequency, 1100 is getting to high, u wanna try to keep it at or below 1000, change that setting to x4

Didn't you already ask this in your other thread? I thought mudd and others gave pretty good replies on what you need to do.

This is what i've done,

FSB 230
MEM 333mhz
vcore 1.45
HT x4

gave me 2.5, but when i ran SP2004 and prime i got..

Torture Test ran 0 minutes 4 seconds - 1 errors, 0 warnings.
Execution halted.

would low HT link cause this or voltage..

Right then...

Whats your multi? your ram would probably be running slow, as at 333 MHz (The A8N-SLi's don't have a divider - you set it to a MHz) with an FSB of 249 MHz, my RAM is only running at 195 MHz (whereas at DDR400 - which is what it is, it would be running at 200 MHz), so with such a low FSB 333 isn't good, but your ram probably wont (but might) take DDR400, as that is no divider at all, and would run your ram at 230 MHz.

Lastly - don't see a low HT Link being the problem, but your best bet is to drop the multi, raise the vCore (a TINY amount!), and up the FSB

For stability try increasing the Chipset Voltage (to 1.6v) and putting the ram to 1.8v (or is it 2.8? can't remember - the number should be 3-4 from the bottom, so you should be able to see)

This is from my experience with the Premium (the only difference is a passive (and rather good) NB cooler, no SLi switch (it's bios controlled), and more voltage options (although whether thats over the standard A8N-SLi, or the Deluxe, i don't know)

i raised the vcore to 1.5 and ran a super PI 32mb test and it passed..im going to try the ram and chip set voltage next and the ram back to 400mhz..heres my current settings and they are stable..

im back, couldn't find chipset voltages, but i put my ram volt on 2.8 and ram on 400..witch made ram speed fo frum 180 to 230..

yeah - it could be a "Premium only" thing, it certainly helped to keep my overclocks stable in the past

Still, i say keep the memory on the 333 MHz divider - drop the multi by 1x down to 10x and then boost the FSB up a bit

im goin to try that...down the multi to x10 and FSB up to..lets say 235-240
