D2 was a single player game that could be played on-line.
D3 is a multiplayer game that can be played in single player.
There's a DRAMATIC difference between the emphasis of those 2 games and that's part of the current feud that's now risen between them.
There's also a tremendous amount of insider drama that's not represented here so, you're literally only seeing 1 side of the debate and about 2% of that 1 side.
The game dev. world is a very small world and David's game didn't fail because they were bad, they failed, in good part, due to the feud.
D3 was a "success" only because it has Blizzard on the box...Take away Blizzard, how many of you would've purchased it? ~ Same is true of Brevik's creations.
The reality is that none of you really know the entire situation so, you're passing judgement on about 1% of the entire issue...I personally don't think this thread belongs here at all but, that's just me.
