The only product I'd recommend is the Deathadder and its varients. Even the Onza which was supposed to be of great quality is crap. I had one, after roughly 6 months, the sensors started behaving in a funky way and so did the replacement...

their mice are made of less durable materials (than similarly priced competitors) and have driver issues. Their keyboards are just plain overpriced. Most of their marketing is pure gimick (not uncommon in gaming peripherals)

I have heard negative stories about their customer service as well, but have not had to deal with them directly.

some people swear by them though, so to each his own.

I had a Lycosa and it was the worst piece of trash that i ever used. Went to a U9BL mechanical board and will never recommend a Razer board to anyone.

Now with the Mouse i have had nothing but good experiences. LOVE Razer mouses, especially my Naga Epic. I have had 2 different Death Adders and a Regular Naga and the Wireless naga.

My only 1 complaint about the mouse so far is that they have not created Drivers for Windows 8 and i cannot adjust any settings on my Naga. But im sure that will be resolved. Guess that is really my fault for using the windows 8 RTM before its out in stores.

You are correct. I've never owned a BW. But I did get a chance to use one.

I really hate the glossy surface it has. Too many fingerprints.

I do believe, however, that the BW has 2KRO when using the arrow keys. Why would I pay $120 for something that is "optimized" for an area and other area not?

When I think of a mechanical keyboard, the phrase NKRO pops into my mind.

With that $120, I could get myself a better keyboard with NKRO and better surface.

Well, personally.. I've only have 1 Razer product to date, and that's the Blackwidow. Albeit a little loud it functions blissfully and is a godsend to my typing style. Sure, there are plenty of other Mechanical Keyboard manufacturers out there, I brought mine with very little research but it's not a purchase I've regretted.

So, in general I can't say yes as I've only sampled one product, but I'm not put off Razer products by far.

It's just that nobody gets online and starts a thread saying "I bought this years ago and it's still working just fine."
These threads are getting boring, filled with idiots posting things that don't help. If you're not going to offer a fair and balanced opinion, do us all a favor and keep it to yourself.
My response was based on 6 or 7 bad experiences. Razer CS sent me a busted / scratched Mamba, and my 4 other Mambas also broke in various ways. Then i was dumb enough to buy another Razer product, their Xbox / PC controller... That broke too.

Nowadays the problem will be finding razer products that have non-synapse drivers lol. If they for some reason discontinued the currently available DA or didn't provide the archived drivers I would have to find a new mouse. I will avoid their future keyboard regardless of quality as I suspsect they will all come with only synapse drivers available.

I've never had any problems with the razer mice. I've owned a copperhead and naga epic, and I haven't noticed anything faulty with them yet.

I think they are on par with just about everything I have had from other companies. Of course, I do research and whatnot, before 'oooh shiny, here's my money!', so I usually know mostly what to expect before I buy it. I haven't had any big issues with any product I have owned, by any company for my computer. I wouldn't buy Razer for the name brand any more or less than I would Logitech. Set what you want in a product, filter out generics (unless you want to take that chance) and go by which one offers you the most for your money.
