There is no perfect 27" apparently.

Thread Starter
After a lot of researching, there seems to be not a single perfect (or atleast near-perfect) 27" 2560x1440 monitor available, they all have what seems to be crippling issues.
The HP and Dells suffer from this grainy anti-glare that everyone is banging on about, the Dell's also have some nasty input lag going on, the Korean sellers are a box of chocolates, the Samsung's I can't find anywhere in the UK other than two less than reliable eBay sellers. It seems that going for a 27" or 30" takes some massive balls, either spending upwards of $800 for a fuzzy, laggy monitor or spending half that and crossing your fingers.

Is there really not any reliable, not-so-fuzzy 27"ers that you can currently buy? Maybe this is too much to ask for, IPS 1440p monitors must be bloody difficult to make rolleyes.gif.

this company is in the us they are making competitively priced ips panels with guarantee's and such, and their pricing is low i think the cheapest is 319, they listed prices on their FB page. The one issue is they have not released their monitors yet although as soon as they do i plan on purchasing one.
take a look at the facebook page.

I don't like to suggest overclockers.co.uk too much after a bad experience but there is the Hazro HZ27WC . It's a re-branded Achieva Shimian.
For your extra £200 you'd get a UK warranty that the site reviews suggest is actually pretty good.

My balls are bigger than my wallet when you can buy two Korean monitors for the same price as one of these though.

Not perfect, but if you like AG coating with a decent low input lag, then the HP ZR2740W could be interesting:

Errm ... sounds ... cloudy?

You can't just say "look at the Samsung 27 inch" because there three models and they are not all recommendable.

You can't just say "look at the Samsung 27 inch" because there are several of them (in Germany 24 different models) and they are far from being comparable.

Maybe he meant their PLS displays? Those are supposed to be great.
