Replacement for Deathadder - Page 3

I'm switching back from my Zowie AM to my DA Black Edition tomorrow, the DA only lasts a year (same scrollwheel problem) and there's nothing really bothering me with the AM but I simply play my best in every shooter with the DA BE.

***, just gonna buy 2 of them (a spare one) and actually USE my warranty if the scrollwheel breaks.

I thought so too, until I tried out the G400v2. It actually replaced my Deathadder 3G because of its lower weight and better shape (which is completely personal preference of course)
When it comes to sensorperformance the G400 is on par with the DA.

If you go for another DA I'd recommend not to buy the Black Edition, somehow I hate that rubber, it's far more difficult to grip than the shiny plastic on the normal DAs.

I actually like the grip on Black Edition.
I also wanted to ask, which mouse would you recommend for Team Fortress 2? My DA seems somewhat "sliding/slow/fast - hard to control" in TF2

IME 3.0 has a similar shape, not sure about the DPI.

The g400 is a good mouse but the max tracking speed is a bit low on 1800 DPI, and it jitters a little bit on 3500. It's a good buy but you might run into some troubles if you use 1800. Anything lower is optimal. The shape is also very different that the DA.

While I was still playing TF2 competitive I used the Deathadder and it was perfect for that. Which DPI settings are you using and do you have RAW input enabled?

Also about the DA BE grip: It didn't fit me because to lift the mouse I had to put a lot of pressure on my pinky. And with my low sens of 70cm/360° I'm lifting the mouse quite a lot. It was so uncomfortable my pinky started cramping. I rarely had that problem with the normal DA.

1800dpi, 5.0 sensitivity in TF2, Raw Input On and Mouse Acceleration off.
It just feels somewhat less responsive than I would like, but it might be just me.

I have a DA 3.5g and a roccat kone+, if I personally was to look at a different mouse from those 2 it would be the Roccat Kova+.

Kova would be great if the sensor was centered and the side buttons weren't thin and hard to press. I really wanted to like my Kova+. mad.gif

Also to OP: EC1 Evo if you play at 450.

we are speaking about razer, only plastic toy overpriced, at the similar price there are better, like M60, Savu, RAW or Theron.

The deathadder is a good mouse; it does feel like a child's toy to some degree due to its weight, though.
