600 Series Adaptive V-sync holding me back?

Thread Starter
I have run into a issue where I have enabled adaptive V-sync is holding my fps back, I was at or around 100% usage on my EVGA 670 in BF3 before I turned it on and now I have it enabled and it sits at ~ 30-55% usage in BF3 on all ultra setting with a few things turned down But my 965 BE @ 3.4 is at ~ 100% usage ( although it is usually at this so I dont think this is it) I used to get 50-80 Depending on the action and what I was looking at but now I'm lucky to get 35. Any suggestions?

I thought the entire point behind adaptive was that it would throttle back gpu usage/power because it's not displaying anything over your refresh rate?

Right, but why would that hold me backto 35 and below when I go from 50-70 with it uncapped and adaptive off, I turned if on for a smotter fps and my 670 is still at peak boost clock but the usage is not as good

Adaptive is nice when it works.. but many games don't like it. I stopped bothering with it.

I just use normal vsync.
