750W or 850W? - Page 2

The SeaSonic X-1250 is an excellent PSU, I'm sleeving it now. You could go for the 1000w Platinum model, both have enough cabling to power four graphics cards or two CPU's and three graphics cards!

Thread Starter
My motherboard only fits 2 graphics cards at most and I only plan on buying 1, right now. Also, the LGA2011 motherboard I am buying only fits a single CPU.

I have been trying to find out the wattage of the separate components of my build before choosing the AX750, HX850, or AX850. The reason I won't go with AX650 is because I could see myself replacing the 690 in 2+ years with a newer more powerful video card and I like having an upper area. I would rather have 100W+ above what I use at the most extreme max load than only leaving 50W or less. Is the AX850 worth $170, though?

Also, does anyone know how much wattage the following items have, approximately:
- 180mm case fan (like the one on the TJ08-E)
- interal blu-ray read / DVD write drive
- USB 2.0 slot under load
- USB 3.0 slot under load

From what I found, Crucial's website says the M4 uses 150mW under load and only 85mW idle. This is incredibly low. Also, SeaGate states that their Barracuda 7.2k uses only 4.6W under load (although it might be active since both worth are written and there is only a single value).
