Plastics - Bilions of sourcing products from Far East and South America....
Textiles - Billions of NAFTA sozo.gif products where human labor is cheaper outside the US....
Medical - Biological - I want my bones regenerated when I'm 85...Like Wolverine...And new organs...T5000, with a couple Geforce GTX 20k eyes.
Other industries - Houses, Furniture, Weapons rolleyes.gif you knew someone would do it...
Would US companies insource if labor is taken off the table? WWIII /tinfoil gunner.gif
Likely only if our government makes it profitable again to do so. Right now there's no incentive from a financial standpoint to do manual work in the US that "can" be done outside.

Plus, what are you planning to do with all of the people you are stealing jobs from? 3D printing is the same type of threat as industrial hemp, the only difference is the big guys got lucky that you can breed it into a high THC potency drug. But industrial hemp germinating in the same vicinity of "medical" hemp effectively HALVES the THC in the medical plant in 1 generation. So, why would you want to legalize a product that grows in 120 days, can be made into thousands of products across many industries, and takes care of Illegal growing operations that the DEA is paid for eradicating? Sure all of this technology is great, but once technology threatens the lively hood of whoever it is replacing, it is going to be extremely difficult to actually put it into mainstream production. 2cents.gif

I'm pretty confident 3D printing will be the next industrial revolution, and yes, it's more than likely that a lot of people will die over it.

Humanity at its finest.
